A couple of weeks ago, I was waiting for a client at White Point Garden where we had planned to start our portrait photography session. Suddenly I noticed a young women in the distance as she hung a hammock in one of the big, beautiful oak trees we find here in the low-country. Since I was lucky enough to have my camera strapped around my shoulder, and I had just recently started my commitment to write a weekly blog post about authentic beauty called Real Women Wednesdays, I decided to she needed to be featured here.
Anna is a recent graduate from the College of Charleston. She was a beautiful young women with her gorgeous red hair and a wonderful spirit! I absolutely LOVE that she carries this portable hammock around and spends time hanging in any tree of her choosing, and spends some quality time with herself and our beautiful city, and those gorgeous trees! What a luxurious way to spend an hour or two. And what a wise woman!
Tell me about your adventures with your hammock?
I can put up the hammock in any tree that I want to. It’s one of the ways that I relax. I really love nature and being out in nature. And I love trees.
What is beautiful about you?
I consider myself beautiful because I am made in the image of God. And because He is beautiful, I am beautiful. And because of that I am able to see beauty in life, and I’m able to see it in things that I read and music I listen to, and places that I go.
What do you think makes you unique and special?
I write music. I ride my bike a lot. I love children and babysitting. And I love playing with kids.
