I love this photograph of this beautiful couple!
The Yueh Family is spread from coast to coast: From Atlanta, GA to San Francisco, CA. The kids grew up here in Charleston, SC and recently returned to visit their parents who still live here. And Tanya Boggs Photography had the pleasure of capturing a rare portrait opportunity and a special occasion for 3 generations of this sweet family.
We sent them our questionnaire and had our initial consultation in person at the beginning of their vacation. Based on our questionnaire and consultation, we got to know a little bit more about them and what was important for them to capture in our time together, and were able to custom design our photography session just for them. The father (pictured above) had worked for the SC State Ports Authority for many years. The daughter, having fond memories of visiting the waterfront as a child, was sentimental about Waterfront Park and the pineapple fountain. Lillian finds the landmarks near her dad’s old office as a symbol of hope and the future. Every time she visits Charleston she said they would end up there, taking photos of them around the fountain and the palmettos. So in the interest of continuing a somewhat unintentional tradition, we decided on that location for our shoot.
What a fantastic time we had walking around and photographing 3 generations of the Yueh Family, ranging in age from 4 to 70. How great is that?!?! And what a great gift for this family to have this family legacy of images to cherish for years to come!
Have you started your family legacy portrait gallery? What are you waiting for? What memories would YOU want to have captured?
Your family is special! Your portraits should be too.
